DRESS CODE

Pride in our school is to be reflected by appropriate attire.  A student shall not dress or appear in a fashion that directly interferes with the educational process or with the student’s safety, health and welfare.  There are several stairs within the school and appropriate footwear must be worn. Students are not permitted to wear shoes without a back strap including flip-flops or clogs.  No tank/halter or midriff tops, short shorts or short skirts should be worn. Hats and hoodies may not be worn in the school building.  Undergarments should be covered at all times.

Students may not wear jewelry that distract from the learning environment as determined by building administration.  Earrings must have posts and shall not extend below the bottom of the earlobe. Articles of clothing and/or accessories causing distractions and/or offense to any culture, race, gender or religion are not permitted (e.g., dangling earrings, large chains with medallions, large bracelets, and multiple bracelets). The principal will contact parents if clothing is disruptive to the learning environment.  Parents may be asked to bring appropriate articles of clothing before the student can return to the educational setting. Coats, jackets, hats, mittens and gloves are required on cold days.

*PARENTS: Please label all outer clothing with your child’s name, i.e., jackets, sweaters, hats, gloves, boots.
